YES!!! I just posted something similar on a different thread but I love it. No pressure. Getting bikes for everyone. Playing tennis. Enjoying family life at our own pace. It's amazing.

It’s fine during the day and I sort of forget what’s really going on. My kids are older so work from home is easy while they are here. Also I get paid well and my job is only 50% effort these days. But I am an anxious mess at night.... cannot sleep. And when I stop to read the news or think about seriousness if everything, esp my elderly family members.

I have one older child and even though my husband and I are VERY busy at work we are making it work and I don't hate it. I feel extremely lucky compared to others I hear stores about. I think my kid loves it.

Yes! Anyone lucky enough to work from home and maintain their salaries should be happy. Life is easier without school and early mornings.

Yes. I wish the city were this empty all the time. I like to pretend that the pandemic killed 80% of the population and all the people I'm seeing are the only ones who survived.

No. I am freaking out right now because I’m an essential employee who is on an every other week work schedule. I’m required to work next week. My kid’s preschool is likely closing per MD state order but I haven’t heard anything from them. I don’t know what sort of documentation I need to give them if they do stay open for essential personnel.

So no — this is a hugely crappy situation.

Yes I’ve been having thoughts like this too. At first I was anxious and scared but we’re also getting used to it. I guess it’s because humans are so adaptable.

Me too OP. But just to warn you, there was a thread like this recently about this topic that did not go over well.

Do you...work? That’s a vacation schedule, not a work week schedule. And no, my kid had a completely hysterical melt down over how lonely she was and how much she missed her friends and grandparents. No matter how much fun we have, she wants her friends and her routine.

At first I was anxious, upset, even depressed. But now that we’re almost two weeks into it, I am starting to get used to it. I love having my husband and kids home all day, it is so nice. They periodically go outside and do school work but in between we do lots of reading, watching movies while cuddling, is laying games, etc. We can sleep in every morning and go at our own pace. We eat lunch and dinner together as a family.

I can tell the kids are getting used to it too. It’s going to be hard for them to go back to school.
