It's actually upstairs in the sun room (we're in an old DC row house). That's the only part of the house that had a door frame that worked. It's working well for us right now because the sun room is right off my office so I can kinda keep an eye on them.

I put a little gym mat on the floor that fits the width of the door.

I remember guys had pull up bars that would mount in a similar way, so I can attest that it's feasible.
