I don't care about my own birthday let alone someone else's. We are all adults here and no one wants to waste time sending a card. Siblings all get a text and a write on FB wall. That's it. We don't do Christmas gifts either. We all make good enough money and don't need anything.

Omg I’m always amazed at the things some people manage to be offended about.

No, no card. Maybe a text. That’s it. You’re an adult, not a 10 year old.

Would you be offended if your sibling never gave you a card or message just from them after marriage?

Would you be offended if you got a birthday card from just your sibling that wasn't signed by bil or SIL?

No I would not be offended by any of these scenarios.

Well now is the time to start - its nice to get cards and we all have time to write them. My BIL has a birthday next week - everyone in my family is writing their own card - we have time!

No cards other than obligatory holiday ones (which I would stop in a heartbeat but spouse says we have to keep going). Cannot stand that a-they are expensive b-killing trees/bad for the environment c-short lived (open, look at, toss/hopefully recycle).

Much prefer homemade cards - kid draws something, writes something, gives a coupon for future hugs, or just call....

I text and call my siblings. Husband text or calls his.

Not offended at all if in laws don’t text or send me a card.

No. I call my siblings. Husband texts his. That’s about it. No cards or anything.

Of course. Card, gift, flowers, cake, a little party.

DH and I each sign all cards.

No cards for siblings or inlaws. Happy birthday text or call if I happen to think of it.

Do you give your BIL or SIL a birthday card?

If married do you give your siblings a birthday card just from you or do you sign it from you and your spouse?
