Depends on if you need her back or if this is a permanent layoff due to you or partner being laid off from your jobs and able to care for your children. DH and I will go back to work and I’m pregnant again. Our DC is just 1.5. We aren’t going to lose a great nanny for a temporary savings.

As long as you paid legally, she can get unemployment while looking for a new job. If you can’t afford to pay her due to reduced hours or job loss, it is what it is.

This - they are in the category that allows them to work.

Thank you.
There's a special place in heaven for good people like you.

Our nanny has a contract that stipulates we pay her whether we we use her services or not.

If you don’t pay your nanny through this, don’t expect her to be waiting for you when you have to go back to work.

We are paying our nanny. She relies on that money to survive. Wtf will your nanny do if you cut her off? Are you an hourly worker who suddenly isn’t getting paid?

If I was still being paid I would pay my nanny. If I could do without the nanny coming I would.

What are people doing in terms of nanny pay under Bowser’s non-essential business closure and what would you do under a stay-at-home order?
