It's idiotic to flush anything besides TP. The plumber loves it, because you pay him.

Please stop flushing anything but a little TP!!!!

Public spaces have been urging women for decades to stop flushing tampons because they don’t break down like toilet paper does in the septic system. Neither do wipes. So we shouldn’t be flushing these in any case.

Definitely not going to stop flushing my tampons, but I’ve been doing that my entire life. Nothing else though.

Or facial tissues, or food, or cut up t shirts because some people ran out of tp.

If you run out of tp, try to find a squirt bottle, clean your self as best as possible. Find a bucket, pail, or some other container to soak out any t shirts you might need to use. Then wash the t shirts and reuse.

Arlington put out an advisory earlier.

I'm shocked people still think "flushable" wipes are ok for your pipes, septic, sewers, etc. Nothing other than your pee, poop, and toilet paper. Honestly best to choose the cheap TP too (not the 2-ply clothy kind).

Don't be dumb, y'all. This is not the time for a plumbing emergency.
