Shut up, sanctimommy.

We’re in a pandemic. Can’t you find some kindness even now?

Eh, PP is right. It’s a basic skill a lot of kids haven’t been taught. It was an unkind statement.

Yes it was. This is an unprecedented situation. It’s not the time to wax poetic about kids not knowing how to entertain themselves. My 3 year old isn’t going to entertain herself for weeks on end.

We’re cycling the tv on and off. But very liberal with it if we need a break. Tablet is limited still, but also a new thing. Anything that keeps us sane right now.

We’ve had the tv on since 9 this morning. Luckily we still have childcare since H is essential, so at least there’s no screens 5 days of the week.

My child can amuse himself fine with a tablet, though.

No problem with some screens. It keeps kids socially connected.

No one cares about screen time and no one is going to judge. People are without food, shelter and jobs. Forget screen time. Screen time away!

PP, didn’t you just use a screen to write your post? Screens are here to stay, they are ubiquitous and we just have to accept it.

Me too! But I am a child of the 80s so I don't feel too bad. I kind of want to introduce my kids to the Robert Stack-era Unsolved Mysteries.
