Ball bounces in that spot or you pick up ball from that spot.

Would it be on your hands then? And it’s easy to accidentally touch your face in the middle of a game.

Also, would rain wash it off? I heard virus is clingy to things that’s why they keep pushing soap (not just water, which actually is all you need for most bacteria).

And direct sunlight — how fast would it kill virus, and does it need to be above 50 deg to give enough Uv-C to do the job?

This whole contagion things is making me paranoid and crazy, but people are spraying canned goods with Lysol so hard to assess.

If you are social distancing and not at high risk, and thus catching virus is not a big worry that may help evaluate your risk tolerance.

Play with anyone you want to, OP. Just wash your hands and keep up with social distancing. Fresh air and exercise are good for you and will keep your immune system strong.

Only interact with members of your own household.

Tennis with household members only.

Disinfect gate handle or things that are not exclusively for your own household.

With immediate family it’s fine. With friends—you’ll both be touching the same balls over and over, so transmission could happen through the tennis balls.

What about playing golf with just immediate family members? Seems like it would be ok, but am I missing something?

i was thinking about how tennis is one sport people could still play while my daughter was riding her scooter in the tennis courts. i think it’s fine if you keep your distance
