And these are the people who will clog up the hospitals in 10 days time. People will die because of them.

Don't be short-sighted.

No! My neighbor allowed that and now she is getting tested for probable coronavirus and now everyone they had over and their families need to officially quarantine themselves.

NO.

Every little bit of non-household interaction you create increases the risk of a deadly surge in patients that hospitals will not be able to contain, thus letting more people die.

This is why interactions must be kept to only the essential activities: groceries or urgent medical concerns.

Socializing, despite what certain people believe, is not an essential interaction. You will not die from lack of socializing like you would from lack of food, or lack of medical care.

We are at war, OP. And a shutdown can't come soon enough to deal with people like you.

No!

My daughter was not super happy about it, especially earlier this week, but she seems to be accepting it now.

She and her friends are using a chrome extension to watch a movie on Netflix tonight, all from the safety of their own homes.

No. We all need to do our part to slow the spread of this virus. Have them FaceTime, chat on Xbox while playing video games, etc.

This whole week my 12 and 15 have been home. We told them they couldn’t have any friends over since the point is to isolate. They were very mature about it but I don’t know if we’re being overly strict. My DH and I are both working from home and at least have our colleagues for a social outlet.

Can each child have one guest over at a time for a little while or no guests?
