I think it’s cruel not to let kids play outside- they will be psychologically affected if we can’t allow this at least until there is a mandate for lockdown, then it’s just “against the law to play with others” and whatever psychological outcomes comes with that.

yes. outside only, 6 feet apart. they're older kids so they can abide by these rules. they know if caught not abiding by them, no more outside together time.

But I see others playing without the 6ft separation. It is wrong and selfish.

I also see teens driving and hanging out together.

Of course not. You can't trust that they won't crash their bikes into each other, or give a hug goodbye, or tackle each other.

My kids are not allowed to play with other kids until this is over.

Only when I'm outside too to make sure they play as you describe.

I’m conflicted whether to let my kids play with their friends in the neighborhood… I’m talking about riding bikes, chalking on the driveway, playing hide and seek… Not close contact games, no hugging, etc.
