Also, unless you’re in a single-family home we are asking the driver to navigate a whole mess of people even if theyre delivering to a front desk or a mail room. And if they are required to to deliver to door they are having to navigate elevators that potentially have other people in them. Times however many orders they have that day.

Apartment walls tend to be thin and kids tend to be loud. Op, if you are anything like me, certain sounds drive me insane so I need noise cancelling headphones. I invested in a good set of headphones when a co-worker refused to change her noise habits and talked loud all the time. I often felt like I was in a meeting with her and I was down the hall from her.

Bose in-ear or over-the-ear or Jabra in-ear noise cancelling headphones. I consider it essential because if certain people can't work/produce quality products, then they don't get paid and people need to feed their families. I would make this a worthwhile Amazon delivery by adding other essentials that can get shipped in the same box.

One of you moves into the bedroom and closes the door.

Also it’s a more immediate fix for the person asking for help. Most orders are delayed right now.

Op, I’ve thought about doing this for work from home, but I’m too nervous something would happen to the kids (like choking) while I’m working and couldn’t response. I would be much more comfortable wearing the sound reducing headphones pp suggested, but not the sound eliminating.
