This. Plus pick her up outside of the hospital. The staff will wheel her or walk her to the door.

Wait 3 days before using your minivan or car, have her sit in back in the car.
If don’t have masks, wear t shirts or something over mouths.

Why can't she get an Uber?

Tie her to the luggage rack. Good enough for Mitt’s dog, good enough for her.

What was she hospitalized for? That would factor into it.

Yes, I would pick her up. I understand you have health concerns OP but I don't understand how this is even a question. What do you want her to do? Walk? Take an Uber? She has been in the hospital. She needs help. She is your sister. Sheesh. Pick up your sister already.

Have her sit in the back and, if she has a cough, have her wear a mask.

+1. OP is more likely to have been exposed than her sis in the hospital.

Yes I would. Open the windows of the car and if you have have her wear a face mask.

It’s more the drive home, I wasn’t planning to go in the hospital anyway.

Yes if I was close to her and she didn't have the virus. I'd ask her to meet me outside if she could.

We live in one of the higher reported area’s of the virus and my sister needs a ride home on Thursday when she gets discharged from the hospital after a non-virus related stay. We’re both in our late 50’s and it’s an extended drive to her home. I myself have a medical condition which has been stable for some time but would certainly put me at risk if I was to catch the virus.

Of course my worry is being exposed to her after a hospital stay, and yes I have a family to come home to. Would anyone hesitate in doing this?
