Kids are about to going to get a crash course in self-sufficiency.

When my children were in daycare, health professionals always had special exemptions from closings; meaning they were allowed to attend daycare even if it were closed to the regular public say due to snow. Besides the fact they don't have a choice in going to work or not and being paramount to human survival, I would have though we would have centers here that accommodate the medical field.

OP here. I can’t imagine what it’s like to be working at hospitals AND have childcare issues.

Our school is still open. Wildly frustrating.

Does your hospital not offer childcare assistance? Ours does

It's hard to say what is overkill. Even a small group at a music school could have a member carrying the virus. If someone chooses not to participate they shouldn't be getting any flack from anyone else.

...since everything seems to be closing soon! Smithsonian Museums and Zoo are closing. Montgomery County parks are cancelling all indoor activities. Bye bye ice skating lessons, swimming lessons...
