And this just shows that the posters on this forum get it wrong all the time. How many swore it could never happen because of DCU, because Arlington "sucks" , and so on.

Good luck to Arlington next year.

They (both DCU & ASA DA) still get beat by non-DA teams in this area. My opinion has not changed.

Good thing no one cares about your f!@king opinion.

Apparently it got you worked up

That would misplace some current ASA DA players

There are many of us who thought it would happen and also think that Arlington development sucks U9-12. And it does. Please don’t think this reflects wel on Arlington’s development of young club players. I can understand your confusion about that, since you continue to think that Arlington DA teams are essentially Arlington Red, and vice versa (how’s the U9 DA team coming along?) yes, folks, this is the mentality that we are dealing with. It is the recognition that matters, not what you actually accomplish. All kidding aside, they have done good work at that boys DA and take in a lot of boys developed elsewhere, as with all DAs. Let’s hope that continues.

Not even with Arlington, but sure, ok buddy.

This is an awesome opportunity for a boys DA program to stay inside the beltway.

Arlington, VA, March 10, 2020:

US Soccer continues its recognition of Arlington Soccer Association and has awarded the Club an expansion of its Boys DA Program to include the U-16/U17 age group.

“We are delighted to build our relationship with US Soccer,” said German Peri, Director of Coaching. “We are among the select clubs in the country to have both Boys and Girls Development Academy programs. This expansion for our Boys program is a validation of the hard work and success of our players and coaches. We are proud that US Soccer has recognized the breadth and depth of our Club.”

The Boys program has participated in the Development Academy since 2016. For the fall of 2020, Arlington Soccer will field teams in U-13, U-14, U-15 and U-16/U17 in the Atlantic Division. In addition, the Arlington Soccer Boys program will field the U-12 and U-16 Pre-Academy teams to compete in EDP against other DA Clubs. Arlington Soccer Academy teams (DA and Pre-DA) are integrated into the same training methodology and structure.

“We are excited to officially expand into the U-16/U17 age group of the Boys Development Academy,” commented Oscar Feliu, Arlington Soccer’s Boys DA Director. “It is evidence of the quality of Arlington Soccer and the confidence that the US Soccer has in our Club. Our goal is to provide players with the best developmental experience in the region and this is a big step towards that objective.”
