I do get that for people who live in multi family dwellings it will be hard. If you are quarantine you shouldn’t be using elevators, or even common stairwells. You shouldn’t be opening and closing doors that others use. I think you need to work out some understanding with the building about when and how those in quarantine can access the necessary communal spaces.

Maybe we'll have the time to teach him to use the treadmill!

You shouldn't have a dog.

In Italy, they cannot walk their dogs. Yes, this is a thing.

I can't believe there are people that truly think the world is about to end over this.

OP--If you must go outside to walk your pets, it is critical that you are dressed appropriately, like this:

Maybe walk him backwards while wearing a plastic bag over his head. And one for you, for sure too.

Step 1: attach leash
Step 2: walk outside

Treadmill training stat, OP. That’s the answer.

I will continue to walk my dog. There is no risk of transmission on my usual empty suburban route. In the city, unless you’re actively coughing without a mask, it’s safe as well. Give a wide berth to other people and don’t talk to anyone. Wave hello from afar to people you know.

Why couldn’t you just walk around your block? Are the germs floating in the air?

This.

There won’t be armed patrols. Just use common sense.

This is a joke, right? Are you seriously thinking that you cannot walk outside with your dog?

If we're quarantined, how will people walk their dogs? We have a small yard that we can turn him out into, but that's really only good for the occasional romp and tinkle.
