Another Ikea.

Interesting, my just-turned 3 year old still fits in the Ikea chair just fine.

Stokke Tripp Trapp! My twins are almost 3 and it's been perfect for our needs. I find it very sturdy and long-lasting. We took out the babyset awhile ago and they have been using it as a normal chair for almost a year now and for years to come.

Don't get me wrong, I agree the IKEA chair is great but for limited purposes. We bought them for our patio. There is no way my almost 3 year olds would fit in that chair comfortably now. It is for sure cheap (which is great) but I agree with the point on the legs being splayed out -- it caused us to trip ALL the time which I find to be more dangerous.

So I think it depends a bit on how long you think you will be using this chair and what you're willing to pay.

The Stokke was the worst. So sure I currently have it as a kid chair (very hard to take off attachments for that, still have the buckle thing for crotch area stuck on, kid is 8(!) yrs old but the baby days were even more terrible. So hard to use and get baby in and out and pricey. Not even all that safe even with the added safety thing on the legs. Yes, stylish but so many more practical less expensive ones out there. Would not recommend.

Also used the iglesina when we lived in an apt. We now have lots of odd markings at that end of the dining table, oh well, we saved space. Sometimes took with us for traveling. But you reach the weight limit quickly.

Even though I did not have a budget, I ended up liked the Graco and Ikea ones best. (Bought Graco for nanny's apt and Ikea for mother in laws house). They were the best money spent. Convenient and inexpensive.

Ikea. It's so easy to clean, and SO CHEAP.

Another vote for Ikea. We gave away our Peg Perego because the Ikea one was so much easier and less bulky.

Love my Stokke. Still using one for my 4 year old and got a news one for the baby and the infant reclining insert which is awesome. Got the chairs used to save a little.

I have the keekaroo which is similar to the trip trapp. It also converts to a regular chair. We have been using it for 8 years

Another vote for the magic IKEA white highchair. Through three kids we replaced the seat once, the tray three times, and we used the same legs throughout. At the end of our highchair days I think we still paid less overall then we would have with another chair. It cleans like a dream, weighs nothing, and is easy to get them in and out of. My only complaint is that the legs are splayed in such a way that I have destroyed my toes a few times over the years, but that's probably more about me than the chair.

IKEA. You want something easily cleaned, wiped down and stable. The high chair is going to be one of the messiest baby items you own. Don’t make that mistake and buy an expensive one.

Seriously, the ikea one. We felt strongly we wanted one with no fabric so that’s it’s easy to wipe down. Yes, the fabric is washable on all high chairs, but it gets so gross. IKEA is similar to the really pricey baby bjorn one and just as good.

Starting to look into getting a high chair and there are so many out there! Any favorites/recommendations for small spaces? Thanks!
