My boys (now young adults) always hold the doors open for women. They’ll also offer their seats, stand when a woman approaches them, etc. It has nothing to do with women not being capable of doing so. It’s simply a demonstration of respect. They do the same for older people.

It's fine. Someone taught him to do that. Hopefully he was taught more important lessons

He may like her, or he may be just using good manners. My older brother did not consider me a "real girl" when we were kids/teens.

Just good manners. That’s what we have taught our son aged 16.

Is this indication he likes her or not necessarily? He never opens doors for me or his sister so when a couple of time I saw him do that to this girl (who’s way out of his league btw) I chuckled inside a bit.
