Agree. Unless there is a sign that says they are for babies only then they can swing the whole day.

I was there with a baby and would have liked to use the swings, and when they are used by babies/adults the adults are generally good at limiting time and taking turns.

Would you have told the kids to beat it? Tried to find the parents? There was a small group of moms talking completely on the other side of the playground and they probably didn’t even realize what was going on. Also is this something that the park should know about? A kid climbing on top of the swing structure could fall off and get seriously injured.

"Told the kids to beat it"? "Tried to find the parents"?? Get a bit of sense. A simple polite request would have been sufficient. If you're old enough to make a baby, you should be old enough to have a polite conversation with someone.

Also love the way you randomly threw homeschoolers under the bus for no reason at all.

Eh, if they were sitting in toddler chairs in a children’s library, I would definitely ask them to move!

These kids were playing on the baby swing. Yeah, I’m going to ask them to move so my baby can swing. This is one of those times when OMG I HAVE A BABY MOVE is appropriate.

If you want teens to act more like adults, treat them more like adults, "excuse me, could we use the swing?" Geez speak up. Speak up if you want the swing, not to make a point.

Older kids on a baby swing? Yes, I would have said that I wanted my baby to use it.

Sure. I have done so politely in the past and would do it again.

Parents of tweens and teens don't accompany them to the playground. That ends at like age 8.

No, they are using it and have every right to use it.

I'd have asked for a turn for my baby on the swing just like I would if anyone else had been on it for 15+ minutes.

I wouldn't have said anything, doesn't sound like they were causing any real problem.

Yes, I'd say, excuse me, I'd like to use the swing for my baby.
