But then-Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein stepped in and directed federal prosecutors to resolve the Monsanto criminal case with misdemeanors only. Y'all thinking small - do you know how often white collar felony crimes get downgraded to misdemeanors or how often large corporations commit felony offenses that quietly get downgraded to misdemeanors?

The point pp is that all the stats get fudged and criminals get revolving doors. Its disconcerting on every level. If the mayor and council cared they would call for action to stamp it out wherever it occurs

The city government doesn't prosecute crimes. The office of the AUSA-DC handles that, aka run by the DOJ.

At least pretend to understand how criminal justice works in DC before you pretend to be a DC resident as a cover for pushing pro-gun talking points.

The MPD fudges the stats at the direct of the Mayor in deference to her real estate developer cronies. They want to keep property prices high and the tax rolls overflowing.
