The new three-year-old never really bonded with the new nanny. The newborn did.

My four-year-old never really did - not the way she loved and is connected to her first nanny. And, honestly, she didn’t need to. A babysitter vibe was fine.

4 year old is a preschooler not toddler. Rules are a good thing.

While I understand that all children are different, I am curious how long it took your child/ children to adjust to a new nanny. Our beloved nanny left a month ago and my kids are having a hard time adjusting. They are both still toddlers (4 and 1.5). The older one thinks she is mean (basically bc she is more rule oriented than our last nanny) and the younger one cries whenever she comes. I am not sure if it is the adjustment, bad fit, or something else. I would love to hear any ideas also on how to make the adjustment easier for everyone involved.
