I had a broken window in my office because a large tree branch was poking through. On the other wall, there was about 3 feet of space between my office building and the house next door, so I had the pleasure of peeking into someone's bedroom, and they never drew the shades. I had to cover my computer with a tarp every Friday because medium-sized rains would come through the ceiling onto my desk. When I came into the office to work an occasional weekend, the elevator would go up and down the floors without anyone on it and make loud ringing noises that terrified me.
I was so glad to move out of that building. If you think your tax dollars are being spent to fix up municipal buildings, you're sadly mistaken.
