The kids are getting bigger and we want a larger vehicle but the gas mileage is horrible on mid-size SUVs and there aren’t many hybrid lines available. The few times we’ve rented a sedan I did find myself struggling to see from being lower to the ground. Hopefully it just takes some getting used to.

This poster is correct, many auto manufacturers are eliminating their sedan lines. Interestingly I asked my 8 year old what looks like a “mom car” to him and he pointed out SUVs, so maybe the tide will change eventually![]()
Hopefully the trend will be towards smaller, energy efficient cars and non-hybrid/electric SUVs will start to look embarrassing. I'm short and love driving SUVs, plus we do some long haul family trips a few times a year, but we're biting the bullet getting a sedan.
