JC Pennys or Burlington. Start looking now because Easter will suck up inventory.

We picked up a suit for my 8th grader 2 weeks ago at Nordstrom Rack. I was not expecting to get it there - but found something off the rack that fit. I do not expect it will fit in June - but it was the right price for one - maybe 2 wears.

Try Burlington or maybe express men (who is having a huge sale right now)

Get him some flat front khakis and a navy blue blazer. White or chambray blue button down. Vineyard Vines tie.

A suit is over the top.

We got a decent suit for our 14 year old on Amazon!

Wherever you buy it from, get it tailored. A cheap well tailored suit will almost always look better than a more expensive ill fitted suit.

I would do suit separates from Macy’s / Lord and Taylor.

We took DS to Suit Supply.

Agree on Target.

I’d skip the suit. I think it looks silly on boys and young men. Macy’s carries really nice boys/young men dress slacks by Ralph Lauren. A nice khaki pair of slacks, dress shirt blazer (buy from lands end when they have their 40% off sale) and tie will look so much better.

The Lord & Taylor store in Friendship Heights has a good selection.

PP here. ...And yes, Kohl's is fine if you find something there that works.

DS 14 will need his first suit soon for middle school graduation and a fancy dinner. Where should I take him to get one (preferably in Montgomery County)? Is tailoring usually recommended/needed? He's about 5'9, so tall enough for men's sizes, I think. I don't want to spend a lot since he'll probably outgrow it by the end of the year. Is Kohl's OK? Thanks!
