When was the last time you or your spouse watched her driving? I would certainly respect the opinion of your 10-year-old.

Not yet. Do you prefer she kill someone first?

How far are they going?
Are there major intersections?
Does she have to turn left where they could be t-boned?

She needs a car with more safety features, like blind spot warning

From AAA:

<<Per mile traveled, fatal crash rates increase beginning at age 75 and rise sharply after age 80.>>

Omg.
Please be responsible and don't let Mil drive your kid.
Two weeks ago, a older lady in her 70 crushed to my local pet shop and almost killed the staff that day.

Do you want the first time to be when your child is in the car and it gets t-boned?! It’s not safe.

She DEFINITELY should not be driving your child.

She probably should not be driving at all.

People of that age can lose a large portion of their peripheral vision (google it).

Your MIL needs a vision test from an opthamologist, but in the meantime, WHY would you risk (and stress) you loved one for the sake of your convenience.

No.

Yes. Don’t let her drive your daughter.

+1 Sounds like you should be concerned whether or not your DD is in the car, but for sure don't let her pick her up any more.

Um, yeah. This seems pretty cut and dry.

Yes, you should be concerned. And no, your child should no longer be riding in this car.

DD is 10 and 80 year old MIL picks her up from schools sometimes.

DD says that MIL only sees only what's in front of her when she drives and not on the sides. So when other cars try to merge in front of her she doesn't see them coming and gets upset when they pull in front of her. DD said they almost had an accident once (she may be exaggerating a little) but most of the time she just gets upset and beeps.

Should I be concerned?
