OP again, my son likes good food but I would not call him a foodie.

He also wants to be a paramedic as soon as he can volunteer. Loves all things rescue and some medical.

OP you definitely want to take him to Flemings Classic Cars in Rockville - https://www.flemingsultimategarage.com
Its free and they know people go just to look at the beautiful cars as well as serious buyers.

Katie’s Cars and Coffee, Saturday mornings in Great Falls in the parking lot of the Old Brogue. A great collection of collector cars of all types — vintage, hot rods, projects, ridiculous status purchases, etc. Things are hopping any time after 7:30, and the owners are always happy to talk shop with young enthusiasts.

See above reference to Mutter Museum. It’s a museum of medical oddities. Really a unique place.

OP is asking how to spend the long weekend next week.

Philadelphia? The Mutter Museum and other attractions might appeal at that age.

My 12 YO enjoyed a winter trip to Hershey. The park isn't open, but chocolate world was, and he loved the game room and the hotel experience.

What interests him? Maybe something connected with that.

I take my 13 year old son to the beach. He likes winter surfing.

I’ve taken him to Falling Waters for an overnight road trip. He likes trying new restaurants. So we do that too.

I’m taking him skiing on Sunday.

If he's a mini golf kid that's always fun. If he's a kid who likes to shoot hoops or throw a baseball around, that's great. Does he like movies? Go out to one and get a meal. Hiking?
