Doing IUI's was probably a waste of time. I went straight to IVF at SGF when I was 41yo. I can highly recommend Dr. Moon.

Am in your age group and I’ll second and highly recommend Drs. Frankfurter, Humm, and Lalwani at GW. I think you’ll find Dr. Frankfurter especially very informative if you’re looking for a consult - he’s not exactly handholding and very clinical but I liked that (straight up about statistics and chances) and I felt he was always up to date on latest research, articles, and could speak to some of the ongoing concerns I had (or yes the results of searching this forum as to what worked for others - for example, low stimulation versus high stimulation in my age group, low dose steroid protocols, adding supplements like COQ10 etc.). if you go with them, you will likely have to do or redo some of the blood tests, HSG test, for a consultation to be effective (I think they like their own data - but also I was coming from my obgyn with some of my results and they said the timing had been wrong on it). I also found them very willing to switch up my protocols and see what worked (less a fan of the morning testing blood and ultrasound call that is really a bit of a line up though - but thought that balanced out with everything else good about GW). Also I did sign up for Fertility IQ - reviews were like any other place but I thought their website informational videos were pretty good - really laying out some of the theories and research and current protocols on fertility. You could probably find the info anyways with enough google searching but their videos lined it up all in one place with researchers that at least to my non expert eyes seemed legit sources to give opinions or information. A lot of people will say that reviews are so dependent on whether you had success or not - but as an option in this area for older fertility patients I thought GW were caring and willing to try, but did not try to give me unrealistic expectations and that is most I asked for. Only thing is that if you do have to move on to a donor is I’m not sure how it works with their office - I think other offices in area (like Shady Grove) have better network for that. Good luck!

at 42 your chance are around 16% with IVF. Be prepared to have three rounds of more.

I’m 42 and had a terrible experience at CCRM. I would recommend that you see David Frankfurter at GW, for a consult at least. Get his opinion on how best to proceed. And if you can afford it, go to CCRM in Colorado. Good luck!!
