We moved our embryos from NYC to VA for storage and then back again to NYC for FETs. We didn't experience any problems. But perhaps we were lucky.

My clinic (across the country from DC) strongly recommended against moving my embryos. They said the thawing can differ from clinic to clinic and it's better to thaw where they were frozen, so I flew out there for the FET (no issues).

We moved our embryos from Shady Grove with no issues.

Absolutely do not move your embies. Way too many horror stories about terrible outcomes after shipping. Much smarter to leave come back for your transfer.

Agreed I would not risk it.

We are moving and I 100% will fly back for FET. The bottom line for us is why risk it? Pay $300 and fly back and stay with friends or have a nice little staycation for a day or two.

We moved to Indy a couple years ago and are starting the process to transfer our last frozen embryo at Shady Grove. Wondering if it would be easier to find a clinic here and ship the embryo, or deal with flying out to Maryland and transferring there. Anyone shipped an embryo??
