Not true. Friend's kid started rowing in 9th. Not athletic at all. Had never rowed. Tall, for sure. The Hs is not a top program. By junior year was being recruited by D1 schools.

A do I and by her sophomore year she was in an extensive therapy program for her eating disorder from the coaches keeping on her about not gaining weight.

It's all about her 2k time on the erg. Being tall helps too.
Roughly Division 1 schools want a time under 7:30, Division 3 under 7:45

my daughter is just starting crew in High School. Does anyone know how crew recruiting works? is it like soccer with dedicated days by colleges to observe? thanks!
