Wrong.

Yours is just chronically sleep deprived.

10 year old is asleep sometime between 8:30 and 9:00 and up at 6:30 during the week. Then it’s more like 9:30-7:00 on weekends. He should sleep longer but he must activate a screen on weekend mornings?. 12 year old is more like 9:30 or 10-6:30 during the week. He has just recently started sleeping later on weekends until 8 or so.

12 year old. Lights off at 9:15pm, asleep by 10pm. Up at 6:50am. So 9-ish hrs.

My 12 year old sleeps from about 9:30 until 6:45 (middle school ugh) and my 9 year old sleeps from about 8:30 until 7:00.

8.5 and we shoot for 11 hours.

12: 11-11.5 hrs

14: 9.5 hrs.

My 9, almost 10 year old sleeps from 10:30 - 8:15. On weekends, she sleeps anywhere from 9 to 12 hours.

9 hours on weeknights
10 hours on weekends

10pm- 7am

OP here, and I don't exactly know. Which I know sounds weird, but there are extenuating circumstances.

But we need to move things around in the schedule, and I'm wondering how long I need to leave between the last thing at night and the first thing in the morning.

11 yr old gets about 10 to 11 hrs

14 yr old gets about 8 to 8.5 hrs

Neither have hit puberty, yet.

My 9 year old, non-athletic boy is sleeps from 9-6:45 on weekdays. On weekends, he goes to bed at the same time but sleeps later (or at least, stays in bed later -- I don't know when he wakes up).

How many hours do your kids get?

Both are boys, if that makes a difference (e.g. 12 year old hasn't hit the massive growth spurt, whereas a girl that age probably would have)? Active, athletic kids.
