Not the OP. But what the hell are you talking about? Why be such an asshole? She is allowed to vent. You're a pathetic POS.

+1. Also not OP.

It seems like what you are looking for is a sibling for your child and not a new man. Have you thought about a sperm donor?

I’m pretty sure that the OP didn’t ask to be cheated on and didn’t ask for her family to be ripped apart. She’s playing the hand she’s been dealt and it’s understandable that she’d feel lonely from time to time. She needs to know that she will find someone again when she’s ready. Lots of really great guys out there.

I just want to be clear that I don't view you as damaged goods with too much baggage. I see you as a loving mom who's been through heartache and wants to love again. You didn't deserve what happened to you. I hope you find love again--and believe that you will. It will take time and some patience. But it will be worth it.

I guess. It’s been so long since I’ve dated that I don’t know what’s normal anymore. I do wonder why an older man, if a good man, would not have already settled down and have kids as well?

Affair.

Very sorry to hear that. And sincerely hope that the right person comes along for you. Hugs to you.

There are men out there. But many may not be the risk of introducing to your child. Give it time and yes or sucks to have to mourn the vision for your family before a divorce.

Newly divorced, 34 yoF with a 2 year old DD. So much of my life has been pieced back together and I feel much at ease now that the divorce is final and we are “settled.” I’m however, am coming to the realization this may be “it” for me. My single mom friends have never re-married. As much as I’d like to find someone, I desire more for my daughter to have a sibling. I loved being a baby mom, and we don’t have much family in the area- just my mom. I don’t know what single man would be interested in dating a single mom- I sure as heck would not if I were childless.

Just need to vent, I think, or need to commiserate with the internet.
