My complaints are twofold: one, I think there are some administrative issues going on right now that parents haven't been kept in the loop on. Two high level staff, including the school's director, left in December and the letter that came home kind of implied they'd been fired. Two, I think they are heavy-handed on seclusion and restraint (and I say that as someone who is trained to use both techniques in MCPS). I would also caution anyone looking to place a child who doesn't have an ED to think carefully - our kid has picked up a lot of language and some behavior from peers that we really would have loved to avoid.
They have always had internal issues and some of the therapists are a bit odd. But it’s good for kids who need it.
