Agree, but not for a two year old!

Story pirates is also good. They take stories that kids write and turn them into more elaborate ideas with songs and professional actors as the voices. It’s engaging and then you can spend time “writing” (Talking it out) your story in the car before you listen to another episode.

Circle Round is great. It’s podcast from an NPR affiliate in Boston. Each episode is a different story (about 15-20 minutes long) based on old folk tales or legends from around the world. There’s usually a guest star voice actor, like Jason Alexander, Kathryn Hahn, etc. My daughter loves it, it’s not annoying for adults, and the short story format might work better for a two year old.
They also have coloring pages from each story that you can print out online, if you wanted to bring that along on the trip.

Wow in the World is silly and engaging and occasionally interesting even to an adult.
My 6 year old loves the audiobook of The War That Saved My Life, like, more than life itself. We first read it in audipbwhen he was 5 and he loves history, so it’s probably unusual...I’d say 7-9 is the best age for it.
He loved the Junior B Jones series as an audiobook and I could tolerate it fairly well. He also really liked the Magic Treehouse books in audio bit they were so boring, I wanted to stab my eyes out, personally!

I recorded myself reading some of my kids favorite stories to them at bedtime when they were young. I just used the regular old Voice Recorder app on my phone but they were pretty engaged since it was their favorite stories and we could bring the books for them to look at while they listened. I also really like sparkle stories which is a subscription service that has really gentle, imaginative audio stories.
