How do you suppose the victim’s life is going?

about the same as it would have had he not met Scott Hapgood, who by all accounts did the world a favor. And BTW, he wasn't the victim. Scott was.

One of them is dead and it isn’t the chisel-jawed former defensive end.

Crackhead chose the wrong mark.

He’s dead, and would have been dead anyway with enough coke in his system to kill a horse.

And he’s not the victim. He was the perp.

And three weeks prior to the incident, he was charged with raping his baby mama and she was granted a restraining order against him. After he died she bizarely retracted and claimed it was a "misunderstanding."

During the three weeks he was charged with rape, the hotel continued to actively employ him.

Wonder why she retracted. Even the local (often corrupt) police said the guy was a menace.

It’s a crazy story. I’m super liberal and frankly I totally believe Hapgoods story. What a mess.

One of them was high on coke and broke into a hotel room with a knife demanding money, and that wasn’t Hapgood either.

Not defending the hotel, but would they have known about the rape charge and restraining order? Are employers informed by police of these things?

Wow! Just read the full story. Absolutely fascinating.

I've been to Anguilla, we stayed at Cap Juluca, but visited Malliohana. The crazy thing? When we stayed at CJ (in 2004) the resort rooms did not lock!

It's been all over social media for some reason this week ... I'm fascinated by it now. Basically a rich white guy from Darien, CT was vacationing in Anguilla with his family; ends up, likely accidentally, killing a worker at the hotel. Pretty fascinating story - unclear if the guy was trying to rob him (in his room, in front of his preteen daughters, who ran for help) and/or had so much cocaine in his system he might have died anyway... thoughts?
