I'd start with the school. Request a local screening meeting and go from there. They may do the testing for you. If they don't, then find a psychologist (or go to GMU) and get the testing done privately. Your pediatrician is always a good starting point as well.
I also think the school should notice this and flag it themselves. Sounds like a 2E issue.
agree. Look at Mindwell for IQ and ADHD testing and the special needs board. Search for gifted and ADHD or 2e.
Also, your kid is in APS 4th grade. She might be simply board. Did she memorize Virginia's history yet? If yes, report to 5th grade.
