I have rosacea and get this on my face and ears. it does look like blushing but feels very hot.

It’s usually just one ear and happens after he runs or if he’s really into something. It’s just weird because it will turn BRIGHT red and be really hot, and the rest of his face is fine.

Are they swollen at all? If not, nothing to be concerned about. If they are it's likely a mild allergic reaction to something.

Is he fair skinned? I do this, and have skin that's practically see-through. Doctor told me it's like my ears blushing. Could be for any number of reasons why a person would blush...change in temperature, hormones, emotions.
