I’ve found the bowser administration to be completely f***ing worthless on these types of road safety things, but it can’t hurt to submit a request to DDOT. Trust me, pedestrians want this even more than you do!

Not sure about DC, but the intersection of Bethesda Avenue and Arlington Road in downtown Bethesda is like this and it’s awesome.

Had to make a right turn downtown today and due to a very crowded pedestrian crosswalk, only about one car per light cycle could turn right. Was a bit frustrating.

Has DC considered doing 'pedestrian only' light cycles, where only pedestrians can cross, and then leave the cars a cycle without pedestrians?
