We’ve got the hybrid pacifica. We previously had the odyssey. I like it fine—its like the odyssey but we never have to get gas for it unless we take it on a long vacation. One thing is that the hybrid does not have a middle seat in the second row, so only seats 7.
I really like the blind spot warnings on the side mirrors and also the backup and side impact warning but maybe the odyssey now has that as well.

I had a 2007 Toyota sienna, and loved it. I bought a new one in 2012 and loved it. I was car shopping over the last year and the 2020 Toyota sienna looked exactly like my 2012 Toyota sienna. I went with a Chrysler Pacifica. i’ve had it for two months. I can’t say I love it but I think that’s because I am used to Toyota.
One reason I bought the Pacifica is because it is top rated among minivans.

I cannot believe that anyone would recommend a Kia over a Honda.

Actually many many different websites say the Pacifica is the best minivan. It's recommended that you seek out a Pacifica if you are trying to rent a minivan and reputable car review websites rate it better than Honda and Toyota. For example:

I say this as someone who hates all minivans and would never drive one, but had to rent one for a family trip one time. So I have no particular stake in this like some PP trying to justify their purchase.

You’re right she has a Pacifica. She had a town and country before that.

It actually isn’t smaller. I wanted to buy one because new Odyssey won’t fit through my garage door. Pacifica is same size and Toyota is bigger. Kia is the only smaller one.

They are for people who can’t afford Honda or Toyota. The Honda premium wit last much longer as Honda is making junk minivans now with massive transmission problems. The Pacifica is much smaller than the mainstream minivans, and will be basically worthless in 5 years.

Does anyone have experience with Pacifica? We are looking for a used minivan for our three young kids.

Most of our friends got Honda, but we found used Honda vans are still very expensive. I also think Honda is able to sell minivans at premium because no luxury brands sell minivans.

We testdrove a certified pre owned Pacifica with a low mileage and was actually quite impressed. Price is good, too. But our concren is a long term reliabilty as Chrysler does not have a reputation for quality. I saw quite a few number of Pacifica on road, but would you recommend? Another option is Kia Sedona.
