Ehh...NP here. Our weekends are like that too. DH and I don't always have weekends off, and our elementary schoolers either need to be driven somewhere or they are home causing chaos. It's much easier to just have the party during the week when older kids are at school.

Weekday parties are fine. Parents will be happy that they don't need to give up time on a weekend. It's a party and make it like one. The kids will have fun.

My child is turning 3. I was not planning to do a party but considering inviting classmates from preschool over for either lunch right after school or on a day that they don’t have preschool. Our weekends are busy and can’t do a weekend party with classmates. I just want to do a casual play date with lunch and cake.
