I take Theralogix CoQ10. It’s supposed to absorb well. At SHF the doctor gave me a discount code. You might ask if your clinic can give you a code too, every little bit helps!

Ladies - 42 year old with DOR here. I wanted to find out which brand you wound up using for DHEA and CoQ10? Theralogix? Just curious. Thanks so much!

This was me too. My numbers also improved, like OP, from 1.5 AMH at 39 to 2.75 at 41, but my cycle at 41, despite resulting in double the number of blasts (six versus 3) got me only one low level mosaic, whereas my cycle at 39 got me one normal (that turned into my son). My RE also told me that you have to go by your worst FSH number, so those fluctuations don't mean much. Not to dissuade you OP, hopefully this is not your experience, but for me, crossing the threshold of 40 really did a number on my egg quality.

After our first failed IVF cycle, my husband and I also followed the protocol in "It Starts w/ an Egg." We made quite a few changes so hard to narrow down exactly what improved, but there's been improvements for both of us, especially after 6+ mos of the protocol. I do feel like infertility is all a bit of a crapshoot, but it definitely did not hurt us.

I took DHEA and CoQ10 for 3 months on the recommendation of my RE (SGF) and had improvement too, and while it took 2 retrievals and PGS testing, I had a successful FET. As my RE said, "it can't hurt and might help." It did for me. Keep the faith! (As that book states, there are studies backing up the claims.) Good luck!

Hi - I just want to share this info. in case it helps anyone else. I read it Starts With the Egg and then went through lots of blogs, boards, etc. to find out about different people's experience with vitamins and supplements. There doesn't seem to be much info. out there on whether it actually worked for people. I was skeptical, but started taking pretty much all of the recommended vitamins and supplements 3 months ago. At age 38, my AMH was 1.21 and my FSH was 9.95. I just got re-tested at age 40 and my AMH is 1.41 and my FSH is 6.7. Not a huge difference for AMH, but, of course, it should theoretically have gone down being 2 years older, not up. I haven't yet tried another IVF cycle since starting the vitamins and supplements but my better numbers make me hopeful that something good is going on with my eggs.

Also, I made my husband do the vitamin and supplement regimen too and he just got his tests re-done. Two years ago he had slightly low count, high morphology and severe viscosity and now all his tests are normal.

It's not fun taking all the vitamins and supplements (I now have a pill container like old people have so I can keep it all straight!), but it seems to be working...fingers crossed.
