Hi OP. I had a lap after a string of miscarriages and failed cycles... I never had issues getting pregnant once an embryo was transferred, I just had issues losing them later (and producing healthy eggs/embryos). So for me, it was more to combat egg quality. The thought was that there was some underlying endometriosis that was affected my egg quality. Indeed there was some found, mostly on one of my ovaries. My immunologist wanted me to do another retrieval after the lap (I did 2) and then do FETs. First FET was a BFN and the second took.

Who knows. I don't think I can point to the lap and say that that is what helped, but I guess it didn't hurt.

We’ve been trying for our second for a year. I had an HSG which revealed a potentially stuck or migrated tube and ovary. We tried for 4 months following the HSG with no luck. Next step is a laparoscopy to see if the tube and ovary are stuck on scar tissue or adhesions, or if endometriosis is to blame.

I’m not at all worried about the surgery itself, but I’m already filled with dread at the possibility of bad news: that the damage is irreversible. I’m gutted at the thought of it (and yes I’m a worrier and anxious person).
