Thanks, the Mazda might be something to consider. I saw another OP pleased with their purchase. I believe a Q7 is 60k+. I’m in the $40-$45k range, and will keep it for a long time, so I’m looking for something I’ll really enjoy. I’m also considering NOT getting a third row. Maybe a wagon.

Consumer reports has the MDX at terrible reliability. I would stay away, and I wouldn't get an infiniti either. Nissan is also terrible.

Yes, I have a Highlander now. I’ve driven it for a long time and I’m looking for something different.

Anyone have personal experience with these two cars or knowledgeable about how they go head-to-head? I liked the MDX when I test drove it. However, it is EXTREMELY popular where I live (not in dmv)and it’s a bit bland looking. The Infiniti is pretty stylish, but I’m concerned about its reliability etc. I have not yet driven it, but plan to soon. A local dealership has a burgundy 2019 qX60 “Luxe” for 39k , which is in my target price range. I have kids and will be using the third row from time to time. Thank you.
