Honda Elements aren't being made any more. We love ours, but they aren't popular with young women. Jeeps are expensive and can be dangerous, but are extremely trendy.

Honda CR-V? Toyota RAV? Subaru Forester? One of the sportier Subaru's?

Crosstrek is more youth friendly than an outback. Very safe and relatively inexpensive too. Comes in weird young people colors like baby blue and orange.

Lord. They're expensive (which you don't care about), they're bad for the environment (which you don't care about), but they're also not that safe. Hopefully you care about that last part, and haven't spent your child's entire childhood giving in top their spoiled brat whims.

So my mid 20's dd wants to buy a Jeep as her first car. She is looking at the Compass and the Renegade models. She wants to sit up high and she wants something that a younger person would drive. Has anyone had a Jeep and can explain what maintenance costs are like? We are Toyota and Subaru drivers, so we don't know anything about Jeep. We are hoping we can still sway her back to Subaru, Honda, or Toyota but I am not sure what else would compare to the
Jeep. Maybe a Honda Element would be better.
