I'd prefer Bloomberg to either Sanders or Biden. He seems to be the sharpest of the 75+ crowd.

Come on. If Michael Bloomberg is the answer, then we're all asking the wrong questions. I'll make one exception to that. If your job involves selling ad space on TV networks, then Michael Bloomberg is a pretty good solution to any problems you are having at work.

He's the answer to the issue of the far left progressives.

Yeah, I'm sure yet another candidate type siphoning off the dwindling numbers of establishment Democrats is going to worry them.

Just because your candidate doesn't have the money to fund his own campaign.... Or is that a sore spot?

Poor Klobuchar, she's so much more intelligent with more integrity.

Don't care for him. Don't want him to win the nomination.

But if he does I'll volunteer for his campaign and definitely vote for him.

Because Trump.

I'd be happy if he won the nomination.

I don't care about how he's funding his way into the nomination.

Look, George Soros donates millions to Dem candidates, even benighted crooked ones like Larry Krasner, the Philadelphia DA, whose attitude towards the skyrocketing murder rate is to blame it on the victims. The Dems are just as guilty of the stink of money. And you're complaining?

I will probably vote for Bloomberg. I would've done so without him spending much money. Liberals still have not learned that you can't win the election with support from just the coastal blue areas. You need a moderate.

How is this any different than other candidates spending money, wherever the source of that money comes from? Is it better if the money came from lobbyists?

I'm all for campaign finance laws, but I don't think what Bloomberg is different to what most of the other candidates are doing if they are accepting large donations from corporations and lobbyists.

And Rs are just as bad about this.

Bloomberg is dropping tons of money into the coffers of statewide Democratic party apparatuses. Apparently whenever he comes to give a speech, he then blankets the area with ads and then fills up the coffers of local Democratic organizations or NGOs (eg, local chapter of Moms Demand Action):

He's going to try to win the nomination at a brokered convention. He has the money to influence all the delegates. Once the delegates lose their "pledged" status after the first (unsuccessful) vote, they are free to defect.

Bloomberg has a plan to win the nomination in one of the subsequent rounds of voting at the convention. He has the money to make this happen through hiring the best strategists and gaming out the scenarios for victory.

Bloomberg wouldn't even bother entering the race if the data was not on his side.
