I think it is safe to say that support comes first from home. Does DC TRULY have the support of parents and sibling at home? Did DC have support all through the years from early on? The support needs to be based on modeling for your DC how to be a good friend and good relationships regardless of gender issues.


OP here - yes! Full support at home and DC also has great therapist in place who is very reputable and part of the LGBTQ community as well. Just need to connect DC with peer support system that’s more formal than a friend group (although of course that’s important too).
