I have had my Mazda CX-9 for almost 10 years from new with no significant issues. I do keep going through tires, but that’s more a fact of all the construction debris and nails in tires which are going to affect any car. Mazdas are quite reliable. Don’t worry about what other people think. You feel the need to spend $35k more on something you like less?

The Cx9 signature is 45k. Fully loaded Audi prestige pushes 80k.

My friend has a q5. It’s crammed and been in the shop almost every month.

And big no to the Kia. Those are awful.

For how long do you tend to keep your cars? A friend ended up dumping lots of money into her Mazda - troubles after all of the pothole driving we do in DC). I imagine you evaluated and said no, but I can't wait to get myself a Volvo XC-90.

How much is the cx9? I don't think I'd pay $50k for it. $60k for an audi seems like a better bet. Are you going to lease?

the two-tone mazda interior is hideous, as well as the burgundy color overall. Try to get different inserts than wood grain - looks like grandpa's car

Yeah the GLS I’ve heard has a harsh ride. And I didn’t like the back seats in the Q7. Nor I didn’t like how they nickel and dime you for their outdated MMI when the CX-9’s info system is up to par as the Audi. Also, the CX-9 has an awesome HUD that shows the speed limit where you’re driving at, which is VERY useful. But overall, the ride was nice in the q7 and Mazda, but the Mazda felt like a sporty car in an suv, which was cool.

FWIW, I think that the audi interior looks very dated. The Mercedes is pretty cutting edge inside, but the outside is looking tired.
