Our seventh year was really tough, though nothing really blew up, just some serious fights. As PP, we had a 4 and 2 year old and I’m sure that’s not coincidental.

With two under two, I think you should be commended for making time for sex a few times a month!

Year 7 was bad. We’d had a kid already, her sex drive tanked, I was at a high pressure but prestigious place with women making themselves available. It was brutal. Almost didn’t make it. But we plowed through. Still together many years later. It ain’t easy.

Yeah but what year was her marriage on?

I seriously can’t remember year 7 but the math says we had 2 kids by then. All I know is that it was family, work, fun and weekly sex for a ton of years.

Year 9 was the worst for me.

We had our 3rd baby at year 7. I don’t remember it being a particularly rough year. Now we are at year 11 and I’m pretty annoyed at him at the moment...hope it won’t last the whole year.

Between years 5 and 9 we were pumping out babies so fast (3) that year 7 was a blur. We’ve been married a long time and we have never had an extended blue period and it helps that life has been an adventure living all around the country.

Seven sucks and mine didn’t make it. I’m a jerk...

At 7 years, we had a 4 year old and a 2 year old. The kids' ages made it rougher than the actual duration of the marriage.

Oh, God, yes. Year seven was the worst! We had a giant fight on our 7th Anniversary! And we just weren't those people. I, too, had heard about the 7 year itch and I wonder now if I turned it into a self-filing prophecy. Whatever the case, we are at 38 years now. ?

We are just wrapping up year 7. I'd heard of the 7 year "itch" so I was maybe a little on edge. And man, it turned out to be a ROUGH year. Not really wanting to sleep with other people or anything, but I do think at points we dealt with resentment and contempt that had started to build up. We had our all time biggest fights this year (like 3 real blow outs). It seems like things have taken a turn for the MUCH better though. Having more sex, more snuggling and kissing, more words of affirmation.

Did anyone else feel like year 7 was a biggie? Where there more years that were milestone good or bad?
