I’ve had surgery on both shoulders and lingering back and shoulder problems. I ended up buying the Bjorn Air One with the waist straps. It’s great, distributes weight really well and like a good hiking backpack you carry most of the weight in your legs not your back and arms.

I like the Beco Gemini too. It stayed on my shoulders better than the Ergo Omni 360.

Yes, I really liked the Beco Gemini straps as well - they're padded, and having them cross in the back provided a lot more support than other carriers.

Lenny Lamb. So, so luxurious and comfortable. Also highly adjustable.

My back was toast for a good while after baby. The maya sling worked best for me.

Lillebaby has a lumbar support pad.

I have a bad back and just got a Lillebaby as well. Haven't used it yet but am excited to try it!

Baby Bjorn without the waist part is horrible for your back.

I really liked the lumbar support of the Lillebaby. I could wear my very tall kid for hours in it, and I have had some sciatica problems.

My second pregnancy wreaked havoc on my lower back. So now I’m finding that my baby Bjorn carrier isn’t cutting it. I like baby wearing and am searching for a carrier with good lumbar support. Also my one-month old is already over 9 lbs (he may be closer to 10lbs actually), so I’ll need a good supportive carrier if we want to make this work. Any recommendations?? Thanks in advance!!
