Of course I would let him go. I can’t imagine making a 9 and 11yo go to a 3yo Bday party. I am the parent and I find these parties hell.

We always do a family party with cake the day of since our grandparents are local. The kid centric parties on the weekend are for the birthday kid and if w sibling has something else to do they can do that instead.

You think they should sit on the sidelines watching other people have fun instead of going to their own party?

Have a family party at home where they can celebrate their sister and then let them do something fun during the toddler party.

No. At 9 and 11 they are old enough to help. Family is important.

Yes, I would let him go.

I'd either plan a family party with an activity that the whole family could do, or I'd arrange for the kids to be elsewhere, but expecting kids to sit and watch isn't fair.

We always do cake after dinner at home on the actual birthday, even if we're having a party, so my kid could sing there.

Of course. Baby sister won't care.

What? Didn't you just say they couldn't participate anyway? What kind of question is this?

If you considered leaving them home anyway, why not let them go someplace where they’ll actually have fun?

Please let him go to his friend’s party.

Absolutely.

I can't believe this is even a question. This is a party for your 3 year old's friends/classmates. Your son really has no "place" there. If this was strictly a family party my answer might be different.

My boys are 9 and 11 and toddler party is at My Gym.
