Check the Honda Pilot - it has 8 seats and a large storage area in back.

You do realize that every car interior is full of plastic?

No, they're not? If all you've ever driven are Fords I feel bad for you and excuse your ignorance on the topic.

Uh, what exactly do you think the dashboard and virtually everything else in your car interior is made of?

I mean, what else do you suppose it might be?!?! Are you going to say "leather"?!?! Hahahaha!!!!! Yeah. Leather. Glued onto a plastic form, lolz!!!!

I'll let you in on a not-a-secret: every car interior is plastic. It HAS to be. By law. You can't have metal exposed anywhere in the interior of a car. This has been a thing since like 2004.

We had a Sienna minivan and put the dogs on the floor between the first and second rows (the second row was adjustable). The luggage all went behind the third seat, there is a deep well back there that can hold a lot. The low entry of the van was good for our big dogs.

We've also owned a larger SUV (a Lincoln Navigator) but it didn't have as much room.

Loose. And not often. Would just want it to be an option for trips.

Then I would 100% go minivan. Their downside is a lack of cargo space for crates + suitcases, but if you aren't dealing with that the floor space in the van should be fine.

There is room in the minivan-three kids in the middle row, and one kid in the back, put down the other two back seats and that space plus the cargo area is plenty of room for two dogs.

How often are you traveling with both dogs and all four kids?

Suburban is your best bet but it’ll need to be used for $55k.

Enough space in a minivan? The dogs make me think no.

Currently the Expedition is my number one. Budget max $55K.
Recommend a vehicle you like or warn me about one you don’t. Thanks!
