We are all exhausted from the grind all week (kids included). This is very typical for us (at least for one of the two days).

Lol - just getting the kids out for a walk w the dog sounds like weekend win in our house! What do you usually do on the weekends?

It’s been the best day EVER! I love guilt-free lazy Sundays. Glad your younger DD is feeling better.

Op here - wow you guys are making me feel better about myself!! Thanks! We usually either have play dates, go to the park or at least do one sort of activity at home during the weekend. And the kids play together a lot. So I felt bad about today! But I guess you win some and you lose some! Younger DD is finally feeling a bit better and nobody else has puked so I guess that is something!

You said you literally did nothing. But in truth you:

- walked the dog
- played outside
- prepared and ate meals
- provides shelter and housing for your child to rest in warmth and safety

That is something.

Same, OP. My daughter has been on her kindle for several hours total today. But she never watches anything. And I need the break. I think knowing how to take a time out and give my daughter a fun relaxing Sunday for her makes me a wonderful parent, and I’d argue the same for you!

By the way. You’re pregnant. Which means you are working every single second of the day that a life is growing in you. People may not see it, but there is work being done. Don’t forget that!

Why beat yourself up? You're pregnant with little kids, OP. No one should judge you for relaxing. We've been reclining all weekend!

Enjoy.

We literally did nothing today. Usually kids would play (5 and 3). But younger DD is sick so she napped a lot today and had no energy. Older dd went to the store with DH but other than that pretty much nothing. We played outside for a little bit and took the dog for a walk. But older DD has been on her tablet for like 3 hours. Ugh horrible. I am also 35 weeks pregnant and just couldn’t muster up the energy after waking up in the middle of the night with sick younger DD to play and do activists with older DD. I feel like a sloth and a bad parent!
