Partner B does not behave that way.
Partner A feels trapped, depressed, especially when kids are involved. As a result of feeling so trapped and depressed, Partner A lets him/herself go. Maybe they are struggling to hold themselves above water, and so trips to the beautician are pretty low on the priority list.
As an aside, Partner A also loses all interest in having sex with Partner B, since Partner B does not treat Partner A well.

I’m in great shape. 5’11”, 175 pounds and low body fat. I look great for 45. So does my wife. 5’6” and 125 pounds and a dancer. She has no sexual interest in me.

No. My wife put on 40 pounds but I would have still been totally into her if she’s been into me. Plumbing and sexy is a-OK. Plump and sexless is just sad.

And no, i’m not overweight myself.

This is a good observation. Sometimes women can be their own worst critic.

One female could have been a model but she was a bi*ch. Husband who was way less attractive than her, cheated on her.

Forgot to add that I have no idea what our friends sex lives are like.

It can be a reason, but I doubt it's the most common reason. In the absence of novelty, lots of women just don't have the libido to stay interested.

Depression and lack of sex care might.

There are many reasons for it. A very common one seems to be boredom. Not surprising. Monogamy is NOT natural.

honestly don't know - there is a lot of discussion about sexless marriage on dcum -- is it physical, overworked spouse not around, built up anger, feeling out of shape?

Are these things related, or is this an unfair conclusion to draw?
